This Gibson Les Paul Custom, distinguished by its Blue Sparkle finish, is a product of the Gibson Custom Shop's exceptional craftsmanship. The finish is notable for its dazzling, star-like sparkle, demonstrating the high level of skill in the Custom Shop's finishing process.
Drawing from the design of the mid-1950s Les Paul Custom, this guitar incorporates modern enhancements. The guitar features a maple top paired with a mahogany body. The mahogany neck is shaped into a comfortable rounded ‘C’ profile and is topped with an ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard itself boasts a 12" radius, block inlays, and 22 frets, extending over a scale length of 24.75". The nut width measures at 1 11/16" (42.82mm exactly), ensuring a familiar feel for players.
Aesthetically, the instrument is finished with multi-ply binding on both the top and back, adding a touch of elegance. In terms of electronics, it comes equipped with a pair of Gibson patent number-stamped pickups that sound fantastic. Control is provided via two volume and two-tone knobs, alongside a 3-way selector switch. The hardware includes a Nashville Tune-o-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, all in gold, complementing the overall aesthetic.
This Les Paul Custom remains in original and excellent condition, not much player wear to speak of at all. No dings or dents and frets have plenty of life left. There is some checking in the finish on the headstock and light checking in small doses on the body.
A lovely Custom Shop Gibson showcasing high-end craftsmanship and quality materials that define it.
